Towards A Plot Twist
Towards a Plot TwistWriting, for me, has always been a way of self-expression. The bliss I feel when I put down my feelings and thoughts into words is unparalleled. That’s exactly why after my Higher Secondary education, I was not at all confused to choose a program for further studies. It was a ‘Road not taken’ at that time, because all of my friends were into professional programs like Engineering and Medicine. But going for B.A English Language and Literature was an obvious choice for me. Also, the thesis I did for both graduation and post-graduation took me several steps ahead as a researcher. After graduation, even though I was not into teaching sector in the beginning, I took off my career as an Assistant Lecturer and dealt with English Literature and Academic Writing subjects there and later got the opportunity to work as an English Language Trainer in a reputed institution. Taking up a teaching profession was thrilling for me because a teacher is forever a learner too. Then comes an unanticipated turn of events. I packed my bags to Canada to pursue higher studies. Even though at first it was a woo-hoo moment, l really struggled to manage my Professional Writing and Communication Studies at Humber College and my part-time work at the same time. After succesfully completing my meticulous curriculum, I dared to take up another programme which was Human Resources Management, (I know it’s completely off the grid, but HR was one of the many professions I wanted to work in, yes, I’m a wild child). Juggling with all those hassles of studies, work, family and graduation, I finally landed a job in Sales. To be honest, it was too challenging for me to begin with. And the pressure it put me in was beyond my expectations. Anyway, I began liking sales, gradually, I internalized being an Inbound Sales Specialist and eventually even a mentor to new hires. After completing a year and a half as a Sales Specialist, I had to come back to India. And eventually, I started looking for jobs in India. That’s when I realized, unlike Canada, in order to land a job, one’s resume has to be aligned in terms of what they studied and their work experience. Without further delay, I started researching on how I can integrate my interests, my degrees and my experience and get to a well-paying profession. That road led me to CDA Academy. With the sincere aspiration to become a Digital Marketing Specialist, honed with all the required skillsets, I entrusted my dream with CDA. There I started my exciting journey with a bunch of like-minded learners, enthusiastic mentors and academic counsellors. And here I am, a passionate and accomplished digital marketer. Being a freelance digital marketer in Malappuram, I thrive on helping businesses succeed through innovative strategies, SEO, social media, and compelling content.
